Connecticut Swings is a community-driven organization dedicated to elevating West Coast Swing throughout Connecticut by bringing exceptional instruction, meaningful learning opportunities, and unforgettable social dance experiences closer to home. Every month, we bring accomplished WCS professionals from across the country to Connecticut for immersive educational experiences that emphasize quality over quantity. Through workshops, intensives, private lessons, and social dancing, attendees have the opportunity to learn directly from instructors in a more intimate environment, ask questions, receive individual feedback, and share the dance floor with the very people teaching them.
Many of us regularly travel to major events in NY, MA and beyond to access high-level instruction. While those events provide incredible opportunities, they can also leave dancers feeling like one of hundreds in a ballroom, with limited personal interaction and little opportunity to truly connect with the instructors who inspired them to attend.
Founded in January 2026 by Angelina Capalbo, Connecticut Swings was created from a simple belief: dancers shouldn't have to travel hundreds of miles, spend a weekend in a hotel, and compete for attention in crowded workshops to learn from some of the best dancers in the country.
Our events are designed for dancers who are passionate about growth. Whether your goal is social dancing, competition, personal improvement, or simply deepening your understanding of the dance, we strive to create experiences that challenge, inspire, and elevate every participant.
